چکیده
three centrifugations (gel I). Rather, we believe that successive centrifugation of large chylomicrons for 6 x 10' gmin results in their purification with loss of VLDL and small chylomicrons containing apo B100. The results demonstrate that purified large chylomicrons contain apo B-48, but do not contain apo B100 and that the apo B-1 00 in chyle is located in the small chylomicron and VLDL fraction. As remnants derived from apo B100-containing lipoproteins ultimately form atherogenic low-density lipoproteins, the results imply that large chylomicrons, which lack this apoprotein, are not as potentially atherogenic as small chylomicrons or VLDL containing apo B100. متن کاملRestoration of Normal Coronary Hemodynamics and Myocardial Metabolism after Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty
Regional coronary blood flow and myocardial metabolism were evaluated in a patient who underwent percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). Angioplasty increased coronary luminal diameter and reduced trans-stenotic gradient. Before PTCA, angina pectoris developed during sustained rapid atrial pacing and was associated with abnormal lactate metabolism and a mild increase in coronary ...

متن کاملClinical implications of late proven patency after successful coronary angioplasty.
BACKGROUND The introduction of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) has changed the pattern of intervention in coronary artery disease. However, the long-term results in patients undergoing successful, elective, native-vessel PTCA are not yet fully characterized. Because the healing and subsequent proliferative response after angioplasty are time related, it was the purpose of ...

OBJECTIVES Isoprostanes, stable end-products of oxygen free radical mediated-lipid peroxidation, were measured in the coronary vessels during percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) to provide direct evidence for enhanced oxidative stress in a local milieu in vivo. BACKGROUND Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty is associated with complications such as myocardial stunn...
